What’s On My Plate? – The FMP Challenge

What do you see on my plate?

And how does my plate look to you?

Boring?
Bland?
Raw?
Tasteless?

OR,

Colorful,
Healthy,
Juicy and
Energizing

Before I tell you what’s actually on my plate, I’ll tell you the benefits I experienced:

  • High energy levels
  • Less craving for junk food
  • My skin is glowing!!!
  • My gut feels healthy! I’ve never felt so proper (if that can even be used to explain it!) when it comes to me feeling full and satisfied.

This “colorful” diet is part of what is called clean eating. Thanks to Adnan Farooq & Nosheen Shaffi, they have made this plan very practical & very easy to understand for all kinds of audience. Adnan & Nosheen are health fitness coach; they mentor people with their Fast Metabolism Program.

My plate has the following goodies:

🥗 Protein:

When it comes to losing weight, protein is the king of nutrients. The Fast Metabolism Program is NOT just a high protein diet. It makes sure that you eat the correct & mindful amount of protein to help recover your metabolism, eventually helping in losing weight. My favorite protein source are eggs.

🥗 Fats:

I love this bit because I get to add more taste to my food. Fats like olive oil & desi ghee are the best. In moderate quantity, of course. Coconut oil is also something I use often.

🥗 Fiber:

Why is fiber good for weight loss? For starters, it fills you up. In a nutshell, it flushes out everything bad from your system and fills you up with nutrition dense, low calorie food.

🥗 Greens:

Greens are a special gift from God! Yes, yes, yes! No matter how much you hate them, you cannot deny the fact that the tons of benefits they offer is enough to convince you to start eating them. I agree, it takes some getting-used-to. If you can develop your taste buds for it then I assure you, you are doing your body a HUGE FAVOR.

🥗 (Good) Carbs/Starches:

Surprisingly, these are allowed on FMP, as they SHOULD be because carbs/starches are essential for many bodily functions. The FMP diet will not push your mind & body into starvation mode. It will just discipline you into healthy choices.
