If you are someone who is following me on Instagram (if you’re not following go now and follow!), then I’m sure you have an idea about me “kicking off” a new “campaign”. (I wouldn’t have used those words if I hadn’t been waiting for the longest time to use them! Hah!) This new campaign was going to be all about mind and body and reaching a point where we are mindful about them both. It’s about time I explained it all to you, so without further ado, here I go.
Meet the people behind #StrongIsBeautiful
Adnan Farooq & Nosheen Shaffi
Most of my friends and readers now that we have been conducting health and wellness sessions on Facebook Live since the last week of December, 2017.
I came across Adnan Farooq and we instantly thought about this collaborative opportunity where he will be doing sessions to educate women about their bodies and their health. I must pause here to add that working with Adnan has been such a pleasure. Not only is he the best at what he does, but he is a thorough gentleman! The very beautiful Nosheen Shaffi is wife and partner in what Adnan does and oh my, they are SUCH A POWER COUPLE! Just check out their pic here!
I can’t take my eyes off them because they have such a chemistry!
Our fitness sessions instantly lit up as soon as Nosheen graced them. This couple is such an inspiration in terms of so many things; in being partners, in helping each other manage, in taking care of themselves mindfully and physically and the way they complement each other. If you think this is all coming from me as part of some marketing strategy, then NO. Their chemistry is so visible the minute you see them on screen. Sigh! (Adnan and Nosheen, let’s meet up on a cheat day for a cookie or cake or whatever, because I SOOO want to meet you tWo!)
Wait, where did #StrongIsBeautiful go?
Okay, back to the topic. First things first, the #StrongIsBeautiful campaign is powered by Adnan and Nosheen. As someone who was hosting their Facebook live sessions, I deeply believed in their cause. Awareness is something we bloggers want to do at the end of the day, so to meet such professional people who still have the vision to impart as much knowledge as they can for free and with the sole wish to bring about a good change are hard to find.
At the end of those five sessions, I wanted to fully experience the guidance and programs offered by them and so here we are.
The #StrongIsBeautiful campaign is based on the Fast Metabolism Program by Adnan Farooq and Nosheen Shaffi. This is my personal journey in following this and finding my own place in being better and more mindful about my health, my body, my thoughts and my outlook of life. I will be completely honest in my opinion of this program and will make an effort to share my progress as we go along. Going through the ups and downs of adapting myself to positivity, I will have the chance to be coached by Adnan himself, so that is a great incentive for me to check out his program as well.
This is not going to be just another sponsored post series…
… and here’s why. Being mindful and positive isn’t the right of a few. It is something we all should strive for and can achieve in our daily life. I will be posting my updates and guide you into how to adapt yourselves in a better lifestyle too, because if I can do it, you can also do it. I’ll be sharing tips about:
- my food choices
- being a better me
- being positive
- fighting stress
